<p>PURPOSE:To enable an easy scrap disposal recover and reuse of expanded polystyrene, by heating the whole thereof in a rotating drum and compressing to smaller size and then pulverizing whereinto the styrol is charged. CONSTITUTION:A cover plate 15 of a drum 1 is shifted when an outlet port 14 comes to the top; a foaming styrol material is charged into the drum 1 through a charging port 14 as much as possible. The charging-discharging port 14 is then convered with the cover plate 15, the drum 1, afterwards, is rotated in while sending an electric current to a heater 12. The expanded polystyrene in the drum 1 is heated to 100-180 deg.C by the heater while the drum is being rotated. Thus, expanded polystyrene is compressed gradually to form a solid having 150kg/m<2> strength.</p> |
