Liq. monophase carriers are made using a protein fatty acid condensate fraction which is soluble in water-insoluble alcohols. The protein fatty acid condensate fraction is used as emulsifier in the formation of stable liq. monophase dye carriers of the type used to accelerate the dyeing and printing of polyester fibres or mixts. of these with other natural or synthetic fibres. The prods. give high quality carrier compsns. which disperse rapidly in hot water, are unaffected by high temps. (=130 degrees C as in the HT dyeing process), and which are easily biodegradable which consequent low toxicity to fish from effluent waters.
