The seed distributor is designed for use in a row sowing machine. There is a pneumatic conveying system for the seed distribution using a sowing roller which is included in the pneumatic transport and has a row of holes for each harvesting row. At the outside circumference of this roller are seed discharge rollers for each row of holes. For each harvesting row there is a double hole row. The holes (60) of the second row(59) adjacent to gaps are displaced to the holes (51) of the first row (56). The holes of both rows (56, 59) are surrounded by pocket-shaped recesses (53, 61).
