The heat-exchanger is particularly comprises a stack of hollow elements, through which the oil flows. They are spaced to allow a coolant to flow between them. The elements are connected at their inlets and outlet to inlet and outlet manifolds, and are enclosed in a rigid frame with side and end sections. Lengths of round pipe are mounted one each in the inlet and outlet manifolds, each having a closing plug at one end and a union at the other one, each with a flange bearing against a frame side section so that these cannot move apart. There is a bayonet coupling (18, 19) between each union or plug (15, 14) and its respective pipe (12). In the engaged state they allow a limited amount of relative movement in the axial direction of the pipe.
|
