Removable pin joint for covers of panels for LV switchgear - has shaft with hollow flexible centre section, domed head and retaining projection

A detachable pin joint for fixing the covers of switch panels of 1.v. switchgear. The pin (18) has a dome head (20) which is flush against the surface (28) of one of the components (10). The shaft (22) is pushed through a hole (24) of that component to engage in a second hole (26) on the second component (12). The shaft is hollow and has a flexible centre section (34) which has to be squeezed in to engage in the second component. The end of the shaft has an arrow-shaped cross-section with projections (38) which will retain the pin against the inner surface of the second component. The hole on the first component is countersunk.
