PURPOSE:To eliminate an accident imparting an electric shock to a user or bringing about the malfunction or damage of an apparatus to be mounted by preventing the charging of a cassette with electricity, by applying a paint containing a conductive fiber to the inner surface part of the cassette. CONSTITUTION:As a conductive paint, a metal fiber such as a stainless steel fiber or a carbon fiber cut into a length of about 0.3-1.0mm is mixed with a commercial general paint before use. The conductive paint 12 is applied to the inner surface part of a cassette 1, that is, the inner surfaces of both of a case main body 2 and a case cover 3. When this ink ribbon cassette is mounted on the carriage of a printer to operate the printer, static electricity is generated by the friction between a printing head and an ink ribbon 6, that between a supply reel 4 and the case main body 2, that between the case main body 2 and the ink ribbon 6, that between the brake material 10 and the ink ribbon 6, and that between a post 11 and the ink ribbon 6 but corona discharge takes place from the layer of the conductive paint 12 to prevent the charging of the cassette 1 with electricity. |
