PURPOSE:To provide a complex type membrane capable of being prepared from laminated low-strength thin membranes and useful as dyalysis membrane for artificial kidney system, ultrafiltration membrane, or oxygen exchange membrane for membrane-type artificial lung system. CONSTITUTION:A foamed material having continuous pores such as one based on polyurethane, polystyrene, cellulose acetate, phenol, silicone, urea melamine is laminated with a semipermeable membrane such as cellulose acetate, ethyl cellulose, polyvinyl alcohol, etc. This membrane is prepared by solvent casting method so that a little solvent such as water, methanol, etc. remains in the formed semipermeable membrane, and in this condition, the foamed material is bonded by contacting. |
