The longitudinal extending ribs on the outside faces of the opposite side walls of the drawer form guides or channels which are open at the rear wall ends. One guide or channel in each wall serves to slide along a fixed rail whilst another guide takes the runners. The drawer can be fixed in a housing or other support by fixed tracks or runner systems without altering the drawer sides since drawers of different sizes can now be made by altering the length of the extruded plastics rear wall or front wooden wall. Each side wall pref. has four ribs with two comparatively close together to form a guide track whilst the other two are wide apart set above and below the guide track to form the upper and the lower channels for the runners. |
