The roof construction provides facilities for heat collection in the simplest and most economical form. A plate of trapezoid sheet metal (3) is sited in a self-supporting position at an angle of slope (alpha) adapted to the most favourable direction of solar radiation, with the trapezoid profiles (5) running vertically to the ridge line. The heat-ducting sheet (11) and collector tubes are fitted directly above the insulating material in and above the plate's upward-facing trapezoid spaces. They are covered in such a way that roof surface and collector assembly form a cohesive entity.
