PURPOSE:The reaction between polyaminopolycarboxylic acid with a specific structure, iminodiacetic acid, aldehyde and phenol gives inexpensively said chelate resin with high heavy-metal adsorbing speed and capacity. CONSTITUTION:The reaction between (A) a polyaminopolycarboxylic acid having at least one active hydrogen bonding to nitrogen atom as ethylenediaminemonoacetic acid or its salt of alkali or alkaline earth metal, (B) iminodiacetic acid or its salt, (C) aldehyde as formaldehyde and (D) phenol as phenol or resorcinol is carried out preferably in a solvent as water or alcohol at 20-60 deg.C for 1-4hr. Then, the reaction product is made into films and cured by heating at 80-120 deg.C for 3-5hr. |
