<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a radar and improve the reliability of the radar by specifying the configuration and construction of a horn antenna and a case thereof in the radar. CONSTITUTION:A case 1 and a horn antenna 3 are integrally molded using plastic dielectric material, an aluminum coating having a thickness of approx. 20mum is flame spray coated as a metallic coating 2 on the inner surface of the case 1, and another aluminum coating having a thickness of approx. 20mum is flame spray coated as a metallic coating 4 for reflecting radio wave on the inner surface of the horn antenna 3. An oscillator 6 is installed at a feeder window 5 in the case 1, an accessory circuit 7 is connected thereto, and a back cover 8 for the case is clamped by screws 10. Thus, the case 1 and the horn antenna 3 are fabricated by inexpensive and light material and produced in performance equivalent to metal by the flame spray coating process of the metallic coatings 2, 4 to thus improve the environmental resistance thereof.</p> |
