摘要 PURPOSE:To enable a high speed recording and extend a life of heater element by a method wherein a thermal energy is applied while fine air bubbles are produced in the ink and a signal applying energy required for discharging small ink drips from the orifice is decreased. CONSTITUTION:When a radiation energy applying device 20 is continuously or discontinuously operated in response to a signal applied, small air bubbles are generated in the recording medium liquid 18 containing material for generating fine air bubbles after radiation energy is absorbed. Then, the recording information signal is changed to on-off pulse signal via a signal processing means 21 and applied to a heater 15. Fast or rapid thermal energy generated by the heater 15 is transmitted to the recording medium liquid 18, fine air bubbles are changed instantlly to surrounding air bubbles, a pressure in the liquid chamber is rapidly increased and a part of the recording medium liquid 18 is discharged from the orifice 22 as small drips 23. The discharged small drips 23 fly and adhere to the recording member 24 to get a desired recording image.
