A biological dry toilet is provided with a box-shaped frame (1) and a composting compartment (12) arranged inside the frame. Arranged below the seat part (2) is a flap construction (8) which can be turned from the position of readiness into the emptying position. In its position of readiness, the flap construction also separates the urine from the solid excrements.
