Unfreezing heating element for refrigerator - with PVC coating fused to PVC coated aluminium foil with adhesive layer on other side

An electrical heating element to be attached to an evaporator in a refrigerator to unfreeze the ice formed on it consists of a glass fibre core with a spiral wrapping of a heating wire and a glass braiding, followed by a layer of silicone rubber and a layer of PVC. Thsi element is fused with its PVC layer to a PVC coating of an aluminium foil. This foil carries on the other side a layer of adhesive, preferably consisting of synthetic resin with a resistance against ageing and chemical attack. Such an element is easy to manufacture and to instal. It provides optimum heat transfer from element to evaporator.
