Plastic wetted filler moulding hardening - in press with high frequency application

A machine with two movable heated press plungers for the hardening of fillers wetted or impregnated with resin has terminals for the connection to a high-frequency source on the two press plungers so that they can serve as high-frequency electrodes. These have in operation the same distance from each other but their faces are lined with a heat resistant plastic with a small dielectric constant (2.3). The outer contours of the desired mouldings are engraved in this plastic layer. The constant electric field achieves a hardening in one operation of short duration.
