PURPOSE:To give uniform power to each cutting edge and to prevent a holder from bending by cutting a spot face by several cutting edges for cutting a spot face with a smooth surface. CONSTITUTION:A holder 2 with a spiral spline screw 2a fixed on the end of a shaft 1 is inserted into a spiral spline screw 6b of a cutter 6 held by a cutter receiver 7 through a preliminary hole 4a on a work 4. The cutter 6, into which the holder 2 is inserted as described above, is provided with several cutting edges 6a on its end, and as it is moved to the right while rotated in a direction B, a spot face can be processed by cutting edges 6a to a desired depth from the preliminary hole 4a of the work 4. When the processing is finished, the cutter 6 is returned to the cutter receiver 7. |
