Despatch envelope for animal or human tissue - has soda impregnated paper outer layer and plastics or shock absorbing inner layer

The despatch envelope for samples of human or animal tissue is rectangular, with a flap at the top and a connection (22) at the bottom for a reagent. The envelope consists of an inner part (18) made of plastics foil and an outer part (12) made of soda impregnated paper. In an alternative form, the inner part may be double layer of soft porous material such as cotton wool, with a layer of imitation parchment on the surface facing the outer part. The inner layers act as a protection against breakage of a reagent tube which may be enclosed.
