1,027,140. Checking tickets; counters. SOC. DE CONSTRUCTION D'APPAREILS MECANIQUES DE PRECISION. March 12, 1965 [March 19, 1964], No. 10500/65. Headings G4D and G4T. Closure of a control switch 3 (Fig. 1, not shown) actuates a first electromagnet 11 to advance a printing wheel 14 one increment and close a second switch 10 which actuates a second electromagnet 5 for rotating a display wheel 8 one increment and re-open the first switch 3. The switch 3 may be controlled by a bus-driver for advancing the printing wheel 14 at stages on the journey for cancelling the passengers' tickets. A plurality of control stations 2 and work stations 18 may be provided in parallel with a third switch controlling the second electromagnet to prevent incorrect display of the work done. The control switch may be a push-button or a rotary button associated with a star-wheel 21 (Fig. 2, not shown) on which a roller 23 mounted on a pivoted arm 24 rides. Rotation of the starwheel 21 lifts the roller 23 and arm 24 and permits a bell-crank lever 28 to swing anticlockwise closing by finger 30 the switch 4. Subsequent energization of the electromagnet 5 draws a pawl 7 downwards to advance the wheel 8 and swing the bell-crank lever 28 clockwise, opening the switch 4 and removing a square stud 27 from the path of travel of a cocking arm 33 which moves opposite the square stud preventing reclosure of the switch 4 whilst the roller 23 drops between two arms of the star and returns the blocking lever 24 to its initial position opposite the square stud 27 whilst pushing back the cocking arm 33.
|
