<p>The conveyor belt has a flexible backing (1) made from a woven fabric which may be reinforced with wire. On this is moulded a one-piece layer (2) of a suitable wear resistant rubber or plastic material. This layer comprises a central area (a) which has raised studs (2b) moulded over it. On each side of this central area is a narrow reinforced strip (2c), its top surface being on the same leven (b) as that of the studs. Wear due to points and sharp edges is distributed over the surface of the belt, depending on the contact areas.</p> |
