A color photosensitive material having a support and a silver halide photosensitive layer which material includes a coupler represented by the following formulas (IV), (V) or (VI) having therein a group represented by formula (I), said coupler being capable of forming an azomethine dye on coupling with the oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine developer: <IMAGE> (I) <IMAGE> (IV) <IMAGE> (V) <IMAGE> (VI) wherein the substituents on the above formulas is herein defined, is described, said couplers capable of giving improved light fastness.
