PURPOSE:To enhance the function of a digital watch without increasing the power consumption thereof by displaying time information normally displayed by an electrochromatic cell (EC cell) and displaying short switching periof of second, stop watch function by a liquid crystal cell. CONSTITUTION:First display section 3a displays hour, second display section 3b minute, third display section 3c month, fourth display section 3d day, fifth display section 3e day of the week, sixth display section 3f colon mark in an electrochromatic cell (EC cell.) First display block 2a displays on function, second display block right end display digit 2'b A (a.m.) or P (p.m.), and third display block right end display digit 2'c second on the liquid crystal cell provided on the upper surface of the EC cell. When no display is on the EC cell, other function can be displayed using all digits on the liquid crystal cell. |
