The pushbutton switch has two or more stages for use, for example, in electronic watches in order to adjust the digital time display or to eliminate the time for a short period. It consists of a curved membranes (5, 5'), where the outer surface touches an electrical contact (34, 35). In the neutral position it is separated from a second contact (33, 36) in the centre of the membrane. There is a section cut out of the membrane with printed wiring linking up with the second contact through the cutout segment. The two sections of the membrane can be made to buckle from a concave to a convex shape and vice versa. The membrane is covered by a securing plate which seats in cutouts.
