Fittings of a borehole pipe include a tubular detail through which electrical conductors can be threaded. These are intended for delivering power, as to a bottom motor driving a boting bit for transmitting signals to the surface. The tubular detail has means of attachment to a following detail, and at the location of these means of attachment, the lengthways running conductors are fixed in electrical connectors which work with a complementary arrangement in the following detail. Electrical connections are obtd. by a single cable consisting of a number of conductors which is fitted in the wall of the tubular detail. The electrical connector is multiple connector fixed to a free section of the cable projecting from the side of the tubular detail, where the means of attachment are positioned, so that the angular position of the connectors may be different as one detail is assembled to the next. Used for continuously feeding energy and transmitting signals from the measuring heads associated with a bottom motor for a cutter at the bottom of a borehole. The arrangement dispenses with the conventional coaxial cables between the top end of the rigid end fitting and the flexible borehole line, and the measuring heads.
