Process for the analog measurement of the hardness of rock flush with the wall (10) of a drill hole by means of a probe connected to a traction rope, in which the probe is provided with two diametrically opposite scoring tools (26) which are spaced apart by force and an upward traction is exerted on the rope (7), characterised in that the scoring tools (26) are driven into the rock by a constant depth of penetration and the force of traction exerted on the rope (7) during the upward movement of the probe (1) is measured.
