PURPOSE:To raise the performance of dry charged battery as well as simplify manufacturing method by forming an electrode plate prepared by adhering tin to the surface of a positive electrode latticing body by subjecting it to a forming treatment in electrolytic bath followed by drying in the bath. CONSTITUTION:Tin is adhered to the surface of a positive electrode latticing body made of lead or a lead alloy by a SH method, e.g., electric plating, chemical plating, hot galvanizing, vacuum depostion method, etc., and then the latticing body is filled with an active substance paste, cured, and dried to obtain a positive electrode plate. Then, the plate is subjected to a forming treatment in an electrolytic bath followed by drying in the bath to obtain a dry chaged lead storage battery. The treatment of the latticing body with tin is made by dipping a positive electrode latticing body of Pb-Sb alloy in a solution containing 20g/l of stannous sulfate and 60g/l of sulfuric acid with stirring by a SH method such as chemical plating method, for example. |
