PURPOSE:To avoid unnecessary power consumption, by quick-feeding a pulse motor by a required amount in the direction determined by comparing the stopped time of the time indicating pulse motor counted by a counter with a standard count value. CONSTITUTION:If a switch 14 is closed when a watch is not used, an AND gate 8 is closed by low level output from an inverter 11 and driving pulses are not applied to a pulse motor driving circuit 5, and thus unnecessary power consumption is avoided. At the same time, driving pulses are counted by a drive stop time counting circuit 4 and the suspension period of the pulse motor is memorized. The circuit 5 is controlled by a normal or reverse inverting circuit 18 in which said memory content and a standard value are set, and if the switch 14 is closed when the watch is used, quick feed pulses from a frequency divider circuit 2 are applied until the circuit 4 down-counts and the clearing of the circuit 4 is detected by a clear detecting circuit 3 and the pulse motor is rotated in the forward of the backward direction, and thus the correction to the present time by quick feeding is performed. |
