The frame is intended for a chain scraper conveyor and comprises the bearing support for the shaft of the chain drum. The outside of a lateral frame member carries a locating plate for fitting the conveyor drive mechanism, which plate has an annular collar which serves as the bearing housing and fits in a bore in the member. The member is stiffened by a reinforcing plate which is arranged between itself and the plate and provided with an opening through which the collar extends. The plate and/or may be in thick-walled solid metal.
