PURPOSE:To promote luminous efficiency, by obtaining reflected light from remaining main surfaces by partially connecting the one sides of lead portion materials to the main surfaces of luminous pellets. CONSTITUTION:n and p-Type epitaxial layers 11, 12 are laminated on an upper surface of an n-type GaP 10, separated electrodes 14 are manufactured on the p- layer 12 and solder 15 is stacked and an electrode 13 is added to the layer 10. Grooves 16 for cutting are mounted, and lead wires 17 with circular sections are erected and soldered to the electrodes 14. The lead wires are separated into lead wires fastened to pellets 18, and fixed and connected to the noses of the leads 19b of a lead frame with the leads 19b projected from a series of support bands 19a in comb-tooth-like shapes. The lead wires 17 are bent in parallel with the leads 19b, end portions to which the luminous pellets 18 are fast sticked are sealed 21 with resin and the support bands 19b are cut off. LUminous efficiency is improved because a wireless type LED obtains reflected light from a remaining main surface, on which there is no electrode, according to this structure. This device is convenient because polarity can be distinguished owing to lead shapes. |
