PURPOSE:To make accurate grinding possible by making the rotating grindstone constantly contact the fixed position of the material to be ground when the diameter of the rotating grindstone is changed by wearing. CONSTITUTION:The axis of rotation 11a of the arm 9 of the grindstone 11 is designed to be on the vertical line which passes through the center of the material to be ground 13 which is placed at the grinding position 12 when the arm 9 is at a level. The inclination of the arm 9 in case of the change of the diameter of the grindstone 11 is detected by the arm inclination detecting device 20 through the rack 23 and the pinion 22 of the elevating plate 1, and the detecting signal is dealt with at the electric circuits 24-31 to descend the elevating plate 1 by the oil hydraulic pressure circuit 18 and the cylinder 17 until the arm 9 is at a level. By doing so, the grindstone is constantly contacted with the top part of the material to be ground 13, so that it can be accurately ground. |
