PURPOSE:To enable composite machining such as a slant hole matching in the direction other than the direction parallel or orthogonal to the center line of a main spindle by turnably supporting a milling head disposed in the direction orthogonal to the center line of the main spindle on a plane parallel to the center line of the main spindle. CONSTITUTION:A work is held by a main spindle 1 and machined by tool of a turret 28. After that, the forward end of the work is held by a sub-spindle 15, cut off by a cutting-off tool of the turret 28, back-machined by a milling head 43, and simultaneously machined by the main spindle 1 and the turret 28. As the main spindle 1 and the sub-spindle 15 can be divided, the main spindle 1 and the sub-spindle 15 are fixed at an arbitrary angle to enable live tool machining using the turret 28 and the milling head 43. The milling head portion 5 comprises a slide member 37 capable of freely moving along a pair of linear guides 10, the second slide member capable of freely moving along the linear guides 38, and a milling head 43 adapted to turn to a plane parallel to the center line A of the main spindle on a milling head table 42 capable of freely moving in the vertical direction to both of the above members. |
