<p>The frame is for a mower with a cutter bar, and extends in a vertical plane between the tractor to which it is hitched at one end, and the bar which hinges at the other. Mechanisms are provided to tilt the bar upwards about its hinge point, and to adjust bar pressure against the ground. It comprises a hitch engaging with the mountings on the tractor, and a vertical hinge (5) whose fixed portion is secured to the hitch. A support beam (9) hinges at one end on the movable portion of the hinge at the bottom of the latter, while at the other cutter bar (1) hinges on the beam on a horizontal axis (2). A mechanism (12) lifts the bar about its hinge axis, being attached between the bar and the moving portion of the first hinge (5).</p> |
