Instant foodstuff preparations, esp. coffee powder, are produced in the form of agglomerates by spraying the powdered material with a liquid on a surface moving upwards at an angle, whereby agglomerates are formed and roll downwards while increasing in size. This process is improved by providing the apparatus with means for removing the agglomerates such as a vibrating trough or a conveyor. |
