<p>The lighter uses two U-shaped hoops (12) pivoted to the sliding cover (2) and securing the latter to the tank (3). The hoops (12) allow the cover (2) to e subsequently depressed, to actuate the piezoelectric ignition device (4). each loop (12) is surrounded by a roller (13), to prevent the cover (2) from tipping. The rear hoop (12) acts on the valve lever (7) for opening the burner valve (6), with the contact circuit for the piezoelectric ignition device also closed by this valve lever (7). Pref. each hoop (12) is attached to the tank (3) via a separate fixing plate (9), which can be rivetted or screwed to the tank (3). The roller (13) of the front hoop (12) runs along a beaing plate (11) which has a central slit for locating the ignition electrode (8) when the sliding cover (2) is depressed, so that the position of the ignition electrodes (8) is unaffected.</p> |
