<p>A cutting apparatus for cutting the tubes of a nuclear steam generator which has spaced cutters (55) which are disposed at one end of a boom (27) movable in a plane transverse to the longitudinal axis of a closely packed tube bundle (3) to cut out segments from the tubes (5) starting at the periphery and working through the tube bundle (3) while moving the cutters closer together to provide clearance as the cutters (55) move deeper into the tube bundle (3).</p> |
