PURPOSE:To enable exchange while optical signal remained, by constituting optical fiber group with optical fibers of thick and fine diameter and changing the combination through opposition of fixed fine diameter fiber. CONSTITUTION:The six optical fibers fs in fine diameter are bundled at the end of the optical fiber fe in thick diameter, for example. Further, every one fiber of fibers fe1-fe6 is collected into one set of optical fiber group, and they are supported on the movable supporter 2. On the other hand, the fibers f1-f6 of each fine diameter is supported on the fixed support 1. To the fibers f1-f6, each optical fiber group supported on the movable supports 21-26 is located opposingly. For example, the fiber f1 and the terminal unit having the fiber fe1 and the fiber f6 and the terminal unit having the fiber fe6 are connected, by moving the support 21 to oppose the end surface of the fiber f1 and fiber fe6 and the end surface of the fiber f6 and fiber fe1 is in agreement by moving the support 26. |
