<p>PURPOSE:To realize the reproduction of a high-quality slow-motion picture when giving the intermittent running to the magnetic tape to obtain the slow-motion picture by securing nearly the constant relative velocity between the tape heads and thus eliminating substantially the vibration of the slow-motion picture. CONSTITUTION:The sequential scanning is given to the tracks on magnetic tape 7 which are recorded obliquely to the longer direction of the tape via rotary heads 2 and 3, thus reproducing the recorded signals. Then the voltage is applied to motor 20 which drives tape 7, so that tape 7 is given the intermittent running at the reproduction time of the slow-motion picture and in synchronization with rotations of heads 2 and 3. At the same time, both the level and phase of the voltage are controlled to secure nearly identical relative velocity for tape 7 plus heads 2 and 3 between the stop and running time of tape 7. As a result, the vibrations of the slow-motion picture can be eliminated virtually, thus ensuring reproduction of a high-quality slow-motion picture.</p> |
