The central worktable (1) is mounted on a drive shaft (5) and is moved round by a step drive mechanism (8). Each work station (3) has a vertical control shaft (7) with cam discs (15-18). The cam discs engage with horizontal rollers (19, 20) which actuate control columns (23). The control columns are provided with levers (26) which move the workpieces between the worktable and the assembly tools. The drive shaft for the central table and the control shafts are driven in synchronism from the same drive motor.
