New 2-imidazoline derivs. are cpds. of formula (I) and their acid addition salts: In (I) R1 and R2 are Cl or CH3; R3 is H or 1-4C alkyl; and R4 is phenyl opt. substd. by halogen, 1-4C alkyl 1-4C alkoxy, CF3 and/or NO2. (I) are pesticides active against phytopathogenic acarids (e.g. mites of the genera Tetranychidae, Tarsonemidae, Eriophyidae, Tyroglyphidae or Glycyphagidae) and ectoparasitic acarids (e.g. mites and ticks of the genera Ixodidae, Argasidae, Sarcoptidae and dermanyssidae). The acaricidal properties of (I) are coupled with favourable toxicity towards warm-blooded animals.
