<p>A device is used for placing specimens in the analyser of a monitoring device for grading foreign particle sizes in fluids, e.g. fuels and oils. It enables increased accuracy and fluid flow compared to conventional devices. It enables removal of gas bubbles from the fluid and prevents loss of foreign particles by precipitation. A funnel (1) outlet is connected to the analyser inlet channel. The analyser has a horizontal section (5) directly beind the funnel whose length is approx. 3 to 5 times the channel dia. A vertical section has dia. increasing gradually to 4 to 6 times the outlet size.</p> |
