<p>The system of controlling a car at one of two chosen speed ranges, one up to 60 Kmph and one between 60 and 130 Kmph. at 60, 90, 110 and 130 Kmph. The stopping distances are also variable in various choices and according to the available grip on the road, and calculated in decametres. When the set speed has been reached, this fact is signalled. The controller is mechanically set to derive the required factors. Various necessary types of information such as speed, stopping distance, road friction can be fed into it mechanically or electromechanically. Alternatives, using electronic and electroluminescent items, may be included. Visual display is given on the dashboard of the vehicle.</p> |
