PURPOSE:To enable an improvement in the wettability of an emulsion without use of any wetting agent, by using a continuous film obtd. by drying a particular core/shell emulsion as a discoloration time monitoring layer of an indicator label for monitoring the storage temp. of frozen foods etc. CONSTITUTION:A discoloration time monitoring layer interposed between a layer (A) contg. a microcapsule of oily matter and a layer (B) contg. a substance which causes the dislocation of the oily matter upon being brought into contact therewith. This monitors a time taken for the oily matter to discolor the layer B through breaking of the microcapsule, flowing out of the microcapsule, and contact with the layer B. A monitoring layer used for this purpose comprises a continuous film obtd. by drying a multilayer structure particle emulsion comprising a core and a shell. The core comprises a (meth)acrylate copolymer composed of acrylonitrile as an indispensable component, while the shell comprises a (meth)acrylate copolymer composed of methyl methacrylate as an indispensable component.
