PURPOSE:To provide a base of die-cast aluminum, to which aluminum wire can be connected directly by way of ultrasonic welding, by machining the surface of the base to have a surface roughness suited for ultrasonic welding. CONSTITUTION:Control unit 1 of an igniting apparatus is assembled on base 2 of die-cast aluminum, and terminal block 3 is coupled to the base 2 by inserting projections into mating recesses. Then, aluminum substrate 4 having film-mixed integrated circuit 12 formed on one side thereof is disposed on the base 2. In connecting the earth 19 of the integrated circuit 12 to base 2, one end of aluminum wire 20 is fixed, by way of ultrasonic welding, to the surface of base 2 also by way of ultrasonic welding. At tje same time, surface of the base 2 is machined to have a surface roughness (for instance, lower than 25mum) suited for ultrasonic welding of aluminum wire, so as to increase strength at the joint. |
