<p>A high-speed device for the continuous deposition of threads, which have been immersed in dye-liquor, in loose coils upon a conveyor, without contacting any intermediate guide surfaces, whereby a high-pressure air-jet is used to carry the thread through a small guide tube which enlarges towards the end into a hopper where a tangential jet forms the thread into coils as it falls onto the conveyor. The hopper may be appended to a spinning chamber which uses an air-jet to insert twist into a slubbing, and the dye-liquor may be applied to the slubbing in the form of a spray delivered in the spinning air-jet.</p> |
