The sow cage is for a wearing bag and has longitudinal side walls formed from U-shaped bars which extend vertically at right angles to the insides of the longitudinal side walls and can be moved longitudinally and adjusted. There is a vertical, longitudinal gap between the meeting straps. Above the sow standing area in the front area of the cage is a cover which extends parallel to the stand face. This cover is formed from a U-shaped bar, which at its free shank ends is fixed to the top cross strut of the support frame in the stall floor.
