PURPOSE:To improve a frequency temperature characteristic by inclining both longer sides at several degrees in the thickness direction. CONSTITUTION:In crystal rotary Y plate 31 having a cut face which rotates at approximately 50 deg. from the z axis of the crystal axis, the vibration displacement direction is parallel with the X axis and acts to the side face to generate combination with other vibrations in the outline slip vibration mode having a thin-plate from which is long in the X axis direction and short in the Z axis direction. Therefore, though the ternary temperature characteristic is given fundametally, the secondary temperature characteristic is given. Consequently, the ternary temperature characteristic appears by providing a free face which does not act to the side face. Then, a crystal vibrator of an outline slip vibration mode of frequency band 100kHz- 1MHz having the ternary temperature characteristic is obtained by inclining both longer sides at 5 deg. in the direction of thickness t. |
