<p>The invention relates to rectangular strips of wallpaper intended for use with walls of predetermined height. The strips of wallpaper are of a length not less than the predetermined height and not greater than 1.1 times the predetermined height, and are supplied as a roll. If the strip bears a matching pattern, the pattern has complementary portions on transversely opposite sides of the strip. The invention also comprises a method of manufacturing wallpaper, by continuously printing a pattern onto a strip of wallpaper, severing the strip transversely into a plurality of unit rectangular strips of a predetermined height, which height is from 1.0 to 1.1 times the height of the wall to which the strips are intended to be affixed, and rolling the unit strips so formed into at least one roll.</p> |
