CATALYTIC METHOD FOR GASIFICATION OF FOSSIL FUELS WITH STEAM OF INCREASED PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE

A catalytic method for gasification of fossil fuels with steam at increased pressure and temperature that results in increased reaction rates over known rates at low pressure. The catalysts used being salts and hydroxides of ammonium or alkali and alkaline earth metals. Pressures in the range of 50 to 600 bar and temperatures in the range of 500 to 1100.degree.C can be used.
