Two part drawbar with coupling aid - includes sprung self locking hinge bending during coupling procedure

The two part drawbar has a joint linking the two sections, as well as a sliding fitting on the joint. The two parts are locked together by a spring loaded catch on the joint after the two parts of the joint are guided together by flanged guide plates (6) under the joint. The drawbar is slid together and angled, so it enables the trailer to be attached without having to position the towing unit accurately. When the trailer is pulled away the two parts locate together and form a rigid drawbar.
