PURPOSE:To make easy the application and peeling of a rust-preventive agent in temporary rust-prevention, and to prevent the bad influence of the peeled coating on the apparatus, by forming a coating of 2-ammonium hydrogen citrate on the surface of iron or steel. CONSTITUTION:A 1-20%soln. of 2-ammonium hydrogen citrate is heated to about 80 deg.C. Iron or steel material is dipped in the soln., or the soln. is applied or sprayed on the iron or steel material previously heated to about 50 deg.C to prevent temporarily the iron or steel material from being rusted. |
