PURPOSE:To check simply the stain degree of engine oil without staining the hand by making the glass fibers or optical fibers the optical medium. CONSTITUTION:The glass fibers or the optical fibers are bent into U shape and cut in the vicinity of the bottom thereof to form spacing. At this time, both the cut sections are in parallel with each other and the center axis thereof are substantially coincided with each other and secured. At a front portion of an incident port 2 of the light, the lamp 5 is mounted. On the way, the variable resistance 8 and the meter 9 are disposed. At a front portion of the lamp 6, a window 10 of the same form and the size as the outlet of light is provided in the vicinity of the outlet 4 of light. In such a construction, the spacing 3 is put into the engine oil and the switch 7 is closed. The variable resistance 8 is operated and the clearness of the window 10 and the outlet 4 of light are made substantially the same. At the position of the pointer of the meter 9, the stain degree of the engine oil can be obtained. |
